How do I startup SmartWeb app
After a successful installation of the SmartWeb app on your Apple iPhone/iTouch mobile device, there should be a SmartWeb icon.
In few seconds it will bring up icons: the first icon is the SmartWeb browser, the second icon provides access to content downloaded while browsing
organized by visited sites, the third icon provides parental control panel for restricted the browsing experience.

How do I download files from the Web
Connecting to the Web using SmartWeb browser gives you an automatic option to download files to your local iPhone/iTouch mobile device.
For most common files such as Adobe PDF, Microsoft Office documents, Images and Select media file types, the SmartWeb will prompt you if
you desire saving these files. There is also the option to save automatically the content on your iPhone/iTouch file download to your local device disk.
By default, the dowloaded files will reside on your disk the fashion you visited the web sites.
Connecting to the Web itself gives you an alternative option to browse the web such as Yahoo and Google
and download files to your local iPhone/iTouch mobile device.
From the SmartWeb view, tap on the oval-shaped text box next to back green arrow and enter the new desired website URL
(e.g. http://google.com.)
How do I index files and its content to make them searchable
By default all your data is indexed automatically the moment they are loaded onto your iPhone/iTouch device and are
made searchable via keyword, full-text.
Currently, only the most common and well-known file format types are supported, such as Microsoft Office file types
(e.g. Word, PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheets), Adobe PDF, JPEG images with EXIF-based format, etc.
For JPEG images, SmartWeb can extract and index the JPEG images produced by various digital cameras (e.g. Canon Powershot, Nikon Coolpix, Kodak EasyShare, etc.)
so that each camera JPEG image metadata are made searchable, such as camera type, date/time and other associated
camera-related metadata.
How do I access my History
SmartWeb utilizes the underlying device browser to access remote sites creating reference on your local file system visited
content in a safe and secure manner. To access content previously visited from your device tap on the "History" icon.

How do I access my Downloaded Files and Data
SmartWeb utilizes the underlying device browser to access remote sites and downloading to your local file system visited
content in a safe and secure manner. To access content downloaded to your device tap on the "Library" icon. The icon will
only appear ifyou have saved at least one file.

How do set the Parental Controls
SmartWeb lets set Parental Controls rules on your device. To enable the Parental Controls rules your device tap on the "Parental Controls"
icon. It is important to lock the default browser to be used. This could be acheived in the settings of of your device.

You must login to change the options. By default the password is set to default. Once the password is changed, the login
screen is enabled. You can change your password, change the default page for the browser and enable or disable Parental Controls.
How do I access SmartWeb app content from another computer
For Windows users:
- Open an instance of Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser version 6 or higher.
- Click on File | Open menu option and it should bring up a dialog window.
- Type in the network IP address of your iPhone/iTouch device along with the default connection port number 8888 into the "Open" textbox:
(e.g. 255.0.0.1:8888/).
You can get the network IP address of your iPhone/iTouch from the SmartWeb app located at the bottom of the screen
to the left-handed side of the "i" icon. The first address (127.0.0.1 is the default localhost IP address) and
the second one is your device's network IP address. You may also have additional IP addresses.
- Check the "Open As Web Folder" optional checkbox.
- Click "OK" button to execute the connection.
- It will mount your local iPhone/iTouch file system as a shared disk similar to Windows Explorer.
Windows Vista may not have webdav installed part of their IE distribution. An alternative approach is to: Click
- Click "Map Network Drive" in the toolbar.
- Select a Drive in the drop down menu.
- Type in the network IP address of your iPhone/iTouch device along with the default connection port number 8888 into the "Open" textbox:
(e.g. 255.0.0.1:8888/).
For MacOS X users:
- Click on Go | Connect to Server... menu option and it should bring up a dialog window.
- Type in the network IP address of your iPhone/iTouch device along with the default connection port number 8888 into the
"Server Address" textbox (e.g. 255.0.0.1:8888/).
You can get the network IP address of your iPhone/iTouch from the SmartWeb app located at the bottom of the screen

For UNIX/Linux users:
- Download and install cadaver WebDAV-enabled client from the following website: http://www.webdav.org/cadaver/
- After installation, you can connect to your iPhone/iTouch via cadaver commands.

How do I relocate or move files around in the SmartWeb application
Navigate through your folder/file system until you have located the file or folder that you want to move.
Click (tap) twice precisely on the file or folder name to begin "editing mode", then type in the new path that you would like to move to.
Make sure that the new path or location exists or else it will give an appropriate error message.

Touch tap the "Done" indicator to save to a new file or folder name.
When you remove or delete the file or folder name, it will completely reset it to the original name.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
In the event your iPhone/iTouch device is shutdown or powered off while downloading data,
there is slight chance that indexing is incomplete and will produce partial search results. To re-index your data
in any event you can execute by clicking this link here: index your data at any time.
The time it will take to re-index all your data is dependent on your data set size.
How do I delete a file or folder
Gently tap swipe from right-to-left on the file or folder you want to delete or remove (simlar to other iPhone/iTouch applications to
remove items). It will bring up a red "Delete" button. Click on the red "Delete" button to remove/delete your file or folder
permanently from your file system.
